Federal Work-Study (FWS) Provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study.

Eligibility
To be eligible for FWS, you must;

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Meet and maintain federal financial aid eligibility requirements.

Complete the verification process (if Department of Education selected you for verification).

Demonstrate Financial Need.

Be enrolled in 6 or more units during the Fall and Spring Semester; however, if you get hired during the Winter or Summer semesters, you are required to be enrolled in at least 1 unit and 6 units for the following semester (either Fall or Spring).

Due to limited funding not all students who are eligible will receive this award.

Students awarded FWS may work until they exhaust their funds, cease enrollment in at least 6 units during the Fall and Spring semesters, become ineligible for Federal Financial Aid, or are otherwise terminated by their department’s supervisor.
