Board of Trustees Vacancy (Trustee Area 5)
Due to a vacancy on the Board of Trustees, Victor Valley Community College District is soliciting applications for a person to serve as an appointed member of the Board of Trustees until the next regularly scheduled election for governing board members, which Is November 5, 2024, for Trustee Area 5.
The Board of Trustees governs on behalf of the citizens of the Victor Valley Community College District in accordance with the authority granted and duties defined in Education Code Section 70902. The Board is responsible for institutional performance and educational quality and provides vital educational services to the communities in the region.
The Board is responsible for the governance of Victor Valley Community College District which serves over 21,000 students annually and provides vital educational services to the communities in the region.
The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of each month. Additional meetings maybe held each month as study sessions, or as needed.

Interested candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be a registered voter in the District
- Must reside within the Victor Valley Community College District Trustee Area 5 (Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley)
